Fukuoka City is known as one of the cities filled with high-rise buildings and densely populated housing in Japan. Because of this dense place, CASE-REAL created a commercial building that combines two functions: a cake shop and a wine bar on one floor.

The Wine & Sweets Tsumsons look so attractive through the yellow light that penetrates from behind its doors. The 65-square-meter building seems cold but also warm at first glance, representing the two opposite characters of wine and bread.

In the process of designing Wine & Sweets Tsumsons, CASE-REAL has the view to create a dignified atmosphere to adapt to the surrounding environment. However, the density of the area caused a little problem that arose, this started from the narrow plan and extended from this store. With such a plan, CASE-REAL then racked its brains to arrange a spacious layout with 2 different functions. Finally, CASE-REAL divides three areas to meet space needs. The result is a pastry shop in the front area and a bar in the central area. and the kitchen in the back plan.

When entering the inner area, visitors will see a display table that provides a variety of cakes. In front of him, bottles of wine and alcoholic beverages were served on open wooden shelves against the background of concrete walls and led lights highlighted them. Following the direction of the wine bottle, guests are taken to the bar area with a long wooden table that can accommodate up to eight people.

A narrow space is usually associated with minimal light. Achieving this, CASE-REAL then presents skylights along the edges of the building with as much natural light entry as possible. Under a row of skylights, a narrow hallway with vines growing along the walls serves as staff work access.

The overall composition of the layout, light, and materials on Wine & Sweets Tsumsons has provided a calm atmosphere for guests who want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city.
