An Iconic Residential Complex by Arti Design Studio in the Hustle and Bustle of Jakarta

This residence is a residential complex - not so big in the middle of South Jakarta with its hustle and bustle. The initial idea that inspired the design of Arti Design Studio was to respond to the hot weather in Jakarta and the needs of the targeted residential users who are young families. 

Ombak in bahasa means 'sea wave', this inspired Arti Design Studio in the form for this residential building. The roof of the house, which is the icon as well as the main identity of this building, is elevated with the aim of reducing the effects of hot weather by considering the direction of the sun, thus creating curves like sea waves that provide shade and semi-public space on the rooftop of the house.

The house consists of four floors starting with the ground floor with one room that also has a living room, then on the first floor there is a balcony that gives access to the view outside, then on the next floor for a more private area there are two rooms also with balconies, and on the top floor as a rooftop lounge provides a gathering space for families with an iconic roof like a sea wave. 

Intended for a young family with less complex space requirements, the house can be a warm space with large openings around it that allow light and air to freely enter the house without obstructions.
