Rabi' Artist Studio is Decorated with Abstract Paintings

Designing an art productivity space must pay attention to the comfort aspect for artists who work to produce a painting. Rabi's Artist Studio was created for the famous Moroccan painter Abdelkebbir Rabi'. The project was designed by Studio BO and is located in the old colonial center of Casablanca, close to the city's largest public park and the beautiful "sacred coeur" church. Rabi has expertise in bichromatic painting. In addition, he sells works between allusions and abstract representations.

The studio has an area of 70 square meters and consists of several spaces such as a workspace, a large work plan with all paint materials, an office space with its library, a living room, a storage room, and a bathroom. All these spaces are arranged according to the group of needs. From the plan, the spatial arrangement pattern is made efficient to accommodate the activities of studio owners.

For space lighting, studio BO maximizes natural light with curved ceilings to illuminate the room. In addition, the use of natural materials with a neutral atmosphere will not disturb the artist at the time of work. These skylights can flexibly be opened and closed as needed. The painting area is equipped with an easel capable of erecting a canvas of large size. Next to it is a wooden cabinet for storing painting utensils. The upper part of the cabinet is used to display abstract painting works and add aesthetics to the room.

Another part of the studio is used to sit back and receive guests with an orange sofa and a glass table in the middle. Each side of the studio displays abstract paintings with matching colors and abstract styles that are the hallmark of the studio owner. One of the other uniqueness of this area is that three seats with different shapes and colors enrich the visual space. All elements of the studio flooring is parquet made of oak, and the work plan is made from local travertine.

Studio BO transformed a bookcase into a hidden door for this storage room to store many painting equipment and large sizes. The area is like a library with a collection of several books arranged in a book cupboard and a simple table for reading activities. Rabi's Artist Studio is designed for artist comfort and functionality for all needs and activities to not limit artists' work.
