January 9, 2024

Masquespacio's signature style is displayed through the Bun Burgers Cafe located in the Brera District, Milan. From the outside, a cafe with a classic entrance and windows is located between a white facade, but when entering the room, visitors will be stunned by the interior design that is different from the exterior shown.

Ana Milena Hernández and Christopher Penasse as founders of Masquespacio—apply pink, purple, green, gold, and cream colors as the main palette in the interior. With contrasting colors, they've adopted the concept of a swimming pool by arranging square tiles to coat the interior walls.

One of the most attractive rooms for visitors is the “water room”. The walls are made of reflectors featuring overlapping hues of pink and purple that make it look like an imitation of water ripples. The room is equipped with a pool ladder that hangs on one side as a decoration, this impresses visitors like being in the water in a swimming pool.

The interior design in the other rooms is not much different but still in the swimming pool theme. The dressing room is represented by a purple room with arches to place visitors in their “private space”. It features a light beige seat to balance out the purple streaks.

When visitors enter this room for the first time, they will pass through the entrance with pink and green hues dominating the space featuring a fresh feel of the room. With the same arrangement of soft seats from other rooms on the side of the space.

Ana and Chris say “This design creates an illusion where the mirror effect recreates the feeling of being surrounded by waves of water."

In the end, Bun Burgers was designed by combining branding and interior projects through a unique approach that resulted in a fresh and innovative concept that could echo other buildings in the Brera district.
