Unique Dining and Eco-Education in Pizza 4P's Eco-cycle Pavilion
January 4, 2024

Eco-cycle pavilion which is part of Pizza 4P’s restaurant in Becamex Tokyu Hikari Complex succeeds in combining entertainment and education in one place, a sustainable restaurant. The restaurant that uses recycled materials is also completed by gardens with various fruits, vegetables, and herbs where customers can feel the exciting experience of enjoying food while watching the food-making process from harvesting, food processing, and serving on the customer's plate.

The friendly atmosphere can be perceived from the first time the customers arrive in the restaurant, they are welcomed by a nice receptionist table with a beautiful wall made from recycled bricks arranged perfectly following a certain pattern. This brick pattern spreads until the pizza-making area which is designed openly and connects directly with the dining area. This spacious dining area which is set in the middle of the building gives a chance for customers to watch the food-making process and learn the recycling process while waiting for their food to be served.

An indoor garden is placed amidst the room as a green oasis which gives natural accents amongst the artificial accents in the building. The garden’s beauty also spreads to the dining area on the second floor. Not only providing a cozy indoor dining area, this restaurant also provides an outdoor dining area adjacent to the herbs garden that is arranged to encircle the building.

The sustainable concept design is not only drawn through the plans but also the interior and exterior that are made from recycled materials. The recycled brick walls combined harmoniously with the floor decorated with unique patterns from recycled plastics. Complement elements such as tables made from recycled wood, chairs and cabinets from recycled plastics, and recycled concrete blocks placed in the indoor garden,  contribute to creating a sustainable building.

The high concrete walls with big windows frame beautifully the landscape outside. Circular skylights are placed on the roof to give enough light inside the room which supports creating a bright and wide room and also minimizes energy consumption in the midday. Eco-cycle pavilion in Pizza 4P’s restaurant manages to pack perfectly the sustainable restaurant concept completed with a learning program of the recycling process which gives the customers a distinctive experience of enjoying food.
