"El Aguacate" or Avocado House, strives to connect the inhabitants with the surrounding environment and provide a welcoming space to relax by bringing in the natural air and sunlight into the house.

This house offers a haven place to enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscape by designing several design features such as programmatic room layout with interconnected courtyards, a skylight in the heart of the house and several large windows. Arranged proportionally, the house is a cube shape with living room and dining room acting as the center of the house surrounded by other rooms including bedrooms, terrace, and kitchen. This arrangement creates a continuous connection from one room to another, making it a dynamic living space.

Precisely placed on the ceiling in the center of the house, a wide skylight captures the beautiful view of the blue sky and floods the interior with abundant light. These abundant light accentuates the polished gray wall, creating a rustic feel inside the house. Presenting the mesmerizing view of the lush garden around the house, the large windows act as the bridges connecting the inhabitants with the surrounding environment.

The tranquility of the exterior along with the stone landscape design, creates a monolithic appearance. The material's color and texture juxtapose with the lush garden around the house, blending the natural hue and the building, making it an enjoyable weekend house. With this excellent design approach, "El Aguacate" becomes a tranquil space for the weekend while also building a connection between the environment and the inhabitants.
