Dive into the Deep Bar, an Underground Bar with Hanging Roots
YOD Group is famous for its environmentally friendly commercial project design. Located in Dnipro, Ukraine, YOD Group designed an underground eco-friendly bar known as Deep Bar. The bar features natural ingredients to engage visitors' sense of touch with the play of artificial light to create an intimate yet relaxed atmosphere.

(Access to the Deep Bar)
Located underground with a flower shop and café upstairs, the Deep Bar has access through a large steel door with a wooden staircase inside that leads to the basement. Upon entering the basement, visitors will see the interior of the bar with a ceiling filled with tree roots and exposed brick walls. In addition, visitors will see several spaces with open access and curved ceilings, so that the end feels like it is in a cave.

YOD Group designed a bar with wood as the main material applied to its interior. Complementing the interior of the bar, leather-covered single chairs and long sofas give the Deep Bar an intimate atmosphere. Because it does not have access to natural light sourced from outside the building, the interior of the Deep Bar relies on artificial light. This is an advantage for YOD Group in perfecting the design of the night bar on the Deep Bar.

(Tree roots to indicate 'deep' attachment)
The custom-made long bar countertop features recycled wooden boards with led strips to accentuate the texture of the wood on the bar countertops. On the bar table, visitors can see the roots of a tree hanging above the ceiling.

In another room, there is a curved bar counter with wine bottle decorations hanging above the ceiling. There is a 3D artwork with a man's face placed behind a bar counter intended as a symbol of self-satisfaction and the world.
"The design refers to the flower roots of the flower shop upstairs, in other words, this 3D artwork conceptually connects the two levels to show a 'deep' entanglement. Everything is connected, and every action has its roots," YOD Group said.
