The Tiled Cloud: Modern Restaurant of Saudi Arabia's Street Food
The Tiled Cloud is a street Bofia restaurant in Saudi Arabia. Bofia is a simple canteen that fills the roadside in Saudi Arabia. Locals and tourists usually visit Bofia to try street food, which is synonymous with affordable prices. Azaz Architects created The Tiled Cloud as an innovation to create a modern Bofia.
The Tiled Cloud - a Bofia restaurant with a modern concept
Shiny white tiles dominate the interior of the Bofia restaurant
Azaz Architects created architecture with a modern material identity applied to Bofia restaurants. Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this restaurant features geometric shapes and line games. The identity of this modern concept Bofia restaurant can be seen in the façade that forms an overlapping geometric installation that is intended to form a cloud as if it were cut down in the space, so this restaurant is nicknamed "The Tiled Cloud."
Wind swirls inside the interior of the Bofia restaurant
Chef's performance in serving dishes
"The interior mass is imagined as a cloud floating inside the space the installation intended as the identity of this restaurant separates and lifts the back of the busy retort from the front area of the restaurant," said Azaz Architects.
The glossy white tiles that dominate the room form a contrasting interior. The addition of a gray pedestrian in front of the restaurant allows visitors to feel comfortable when entering the restaurant.

Material details
When entering the restaurant, visitors will see a closed kitchen that is under the stairs. The kitchen is decorated with circular aluminum windows on several sides, which is interesting because visitors can see firsthand when the chef serves the dishes. To accommodate visitors, there are loungers on the side with glazed tiles combined with aluminum tables and white folding chairs that further create harmony in The Tiled Cloud restaurant.

On the other hand, the most interesting thing about Bofia's restaurant "The Tiled Cloud" is the white, circularly elevated tiles with brown leather upholstered floor chairs with a circular table in the middle wrapped in aluminum panels. This circular panel will certainly provide privacy for visitors. The panels are even more beautiful with beautiful hole details when exposed to sunlight. Apart from being a private place for visitors, this aluminum panel is also applied to retail shelves and continued to extend towards the entrance.
Lamp on the ceiling can bring a wider range of light effects
No less interesting are the details on the ceiling, which are lamps designed with a design around the space like a rotating wind. The application of lights to the Bofia restaurant "TheTiled Cloud" offers a different story during the day and night with the change in the color of the lights. The white color aims to give a broad impression. While the purple and blue colors create a space with an atmosphere like being in space.
Bofia's restaurant "The Tiled Cloud" is "an architectural fantasy that turns into reality," Azaz Architects said.
