Curative Stand: An Ergonomic COVID-19 Self-Test Spot
One Hat One Hand had the opportunity to collaborate with Gehl People and COVID-19 testing start-up Curative. That said, Curative is the largest coronavirus testing provider start-up in the United States. This company offers tests that can be done by patients themselves in a simple place in the form of a 4-square-meter kiosk.
Located in Berkley, California, this kiosk is a public facility designed with various considerations, given its function as a laboratory. So, the design of this kiosk prioritizes ergonomic aspects, comfort, and functional thinking with a fairly high space requirement.

To provide comfort to visitors, each kiosk needs an air conditioning system commonly known as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning). This HVAC system is important to provide protection against air circulation in the production room in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the kiosk is also equipped with a computer to input patient data.

One of the most important things in making this Curative stand is the rapid construction. However, it remains to think about the design and construction aspects due to the limited space with its needs that are used by many people in various locations and conditions. This Curative Stall is built with a simple shape. The partitions and the flat roof of the box make it possible to be able to move places.

This purple visual stand is iconic with a Curative corporate identity and the tagline "Welcome to your test spot." We're glad you're here" which is intended for the patients. Equipped with partitions to separate patients, so curative can handle patients quickly and efficiently. In addition, the icon that directs the flow has also been listed on the Curative stand, making it easier for patients to follow the established flow for the smooth process of testing the coronavirus test.
