Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to Host 2030 FIFA World Cup Final Will Be Completed Soon
L35 Architects, in collaboration with GMP Architekten and Ribas & Ribas, led the final phase of the renovation of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, perfecting the final details. It features a striking metallic façade and interior improvements, including VIP areas, improved circulation, and wayfinding through strategic lighting and materials. Work on the north and east façades has been completed, with work continuing on the south and west sides. Public access currently operates via a temporary entry point that will soon be replaced with a permanent system that meets the stadium’s high standards.

The exterior development is ongoing, with the surrounding roads being completed and the eastern plaza also nearing completion. This plaza will provide important connections to the metro area and parking facilities. The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, also known as the Real Madrid Stadium, is planned to host the FIFA Final in 2030, with a focus on improving the flow between the main areas.

The renovation by L35 Architects together with GMP Architekten and Ribas & Ribas sought to improve lighting, especially in the high-traffic gallery areas, to improve orientation and comfort. The stadium’s unified layout minimizes movement through the various spaces, with materials and colors that clearly categorize the zones. The design creates a multifunctional venue capable of hosting large-scale events outside of football, such as international concerts and the upcoming FIFA World Cup Final in 2030. The exterior development around the stadium includes landscape and logistics areas designed for public use and stadium operations. The streets adjacent to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium have been successfully completed, and work is underway on the eastern plaza, which will serve as a new urban space connecting the stadium with the surrounding city.
