“Good News” Will Be The Theme Of The Third Edition Of Zurich Design Weeks 2024

Long awaited by its fans, Switzerland's largest annual design festival will soon be held, Zurich Design Weeks is back in 2024. Entering the third edition with the theme “Good News” all the works that will be displayed are generally the result of a compilation of good news in a broader design spectrum. Highlighting all the good news from the design world and offering a stage for them. This event focuses our attention on progress, sustainable ideas, and small and large innovations that make us more optimistic.

This year Zurich Design Weeks takes place from 12 to 29 September 2024 spread across various locations in Zurich, Switzerland. The opening of Zurich Design Weeks is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024. This largest design event in Switzerland attracts many visitors from various regions where many new talents and big names meet. Various types of events are available including exhibitions, installations, open studios, visits, walks, workshops, talks, and live performances. Various ateliers and shops open their doors, followed by well-known brands that also showcase their latest products, and designers provide insights into their works. The variety of participation formats allows for the various needs of participants and provides a platform for all design disciplines. Zurich Design Weeks is able to unite people from those who create and develop designs, work with them, to those who simply enjoy them.

During the festival, the Museum Für Gestaltung Zürich as Switzerland's leading museum for design and visual communication through the Swiss Design Lounge on Ausstellungsstrasse, which is equipped with various classic objects, is also the headquarters of Zurich Design Weeks. Here you can find information about all items in the Zurich Design Weeks program and experience the history of design. The event was initiated in 2022 by the Design Biennale Zürich and Archithema Verlag, with the support of Stadtentwicklung Zürich and other partnerships.

The Design Center, located in the Museum Für Gestaltung Zürich on Ausstellungsstrasse, will showcase outstanding graduation projects from five Swiss design schools. As a brilliant conclusion to the Zurich Design Weeks 2024 festival, the much-anticipated “Neue Räume 24” will be the focus of the interior design exhibition at the event.
