House of the Flying Trees (HOFT) is an apartment block located in the center of the Capital City of Riga, Latvia. The building consists of two masses of residential apartment buildings. HOFT's main building is an Art Nouveau-style historic building, built in the 19th century by Karl Johann Felsko, and the addition of a new seven-story building to the rear of the main building. It is a repair project that does not complement the architecture but creates a new building that becomes one entity. Designed by Open Ad with the concept of modern urban life equipped with a touch of nature, this design is a solution to the lack of greenery in the city center.

HOFT prioritizes its goal of preserving historical values in buildings with function and understanding of the human need to be able to feel the coolness of nature in the city center. This apartment gives the impression of opening the door to a fascinating hidden place. At the beginning of entering the building, visitors will see a historic building in the style of Art Nouveau, but when entering the central courtyard there is a modern architectural building with many beautiful trees.

The most prominent feature of HOFT is the "flying tree", which aims to pay homage to the main building with an Art Nouveau-style façade. The collection of bonsai trees placed inside the glass gives the illusion of a flying tree specifically designed to add a sense of comfort for residents and guests of the apartment. The trees are an interpretation of the Art Nouveau style as well as one of the innovative ways to bring nature back to the city.

This building has a total of 42 apartment units with varying areas. Each unit is equipped with a balcony with a large view of the courtyard in the middle of the space of the main building and the new building of the apartment. The apartment room has large windows that allow residents to gaze at the view of the towering trees in the spacious courtyard. As an apartment, HOFT has a spacious courtyard facility aimed at allowing apartment residents to chat with each other and can spend time together. In addition, there is an underground parking area that connects the two apartment buildings.

The ambiance and style of the interior environment of this apartment are influenced by the Art Nouveau style with high art. Architects work closely with local craftsmen and artists to create unique touches on HOFT, such as apartment numbers made of brass.
