DongFengYun Hotel Mi'Le | MGallery / Luoxu + CCD
Located in Dongfengyun Art Town, Mile, this Yunnan Province was conceived by renowned artist Luo Xu based on the design concept of "austerity, simplicity, and authenticity" through revealing round, stable, and simple images. The building appeared to carry a trace of time and appeared to be squeezed by a pair of large and rough hands.

When approaching interior design, CCD does not adopt modern and industrial design expressions but draws inspiration from local cultural contexts by utilizing simple language to integrate space into nature through natural materials with a muted color palette with soft lighting.

The hotel is set to span two square miles, consisting of a series of curved structures built from locally fired red bricks. It includes 232 rooms, two restaurants, two bars, an outdoor swimming pool, and meeting facilities.

Focusing on chasing natural light, the bowl-shaped entrance chamber has carved holes in the atar section that create pleasant echoes. During the day, natural light flows into the building, so that light forms a dynamic shadow moving freely in the room and falling on a curved wall that forms like a water surface that provides an experience of infinite imagination.

In this hotel, various rhythms of light and shadow are added with surprising sensory experiences and intricate details that create a sense of ritual to welcome guests.
