Sirius Wine Shop Inspired by Ancient Wine Production Procedures

January 3, 2024

Sirius Wine, a wine shop designed by Maden Group, showcases the wine production process through the utilization of building materials inspired by ancient wine production procedures, such as water, mud, and straw, to create a unique visual impression inside the store. It not only revives the ancient material used in the winemaking process but also provides a treatment that wine is not just a drink but also an art.

Winemaking begins with selecting the highest quality grapes, then crushing them in the form of juice and putting them into wooden barrels or mud in ancient times to ferment into alcohol. After fermentation, manufacturers must wait several months to pack them in bottles and place them on shelves or straw mats.

Inspired by this wine production process, Maden Group designed the store layout with rows of shelves on the right and left sides full of wine bottles from various brands, pampering the visitors when passing through the store's aisle. A minibar at the entrance area welcomes the visitors by offering a glass of wine. Another facility in this store is a meeting room or tasting hall that can be used by about six people more privately. Several storage spaces made from luxurious glass shelves provide cigars and expensive wine products. Meanwhile, the lighting set on each shelf gives a sense of depth to the products.

The Sirius Wine Shop project uses natural materials that emphasize the quality and heritage of this long-established company. The mixture of water, mud, and straw materials inspired by ancient wine production procedures is applied on the ceiling and bar table, giving a natural look and different texture, unlike other modern materials. The use of wood flooring material adds warmth to the room and gives a timeless, traditional, and contemporary impression. Meanwhile, the wooden wine racks showcase the premium wine collection that provides a new sensation and experience to buy the wine.

Sirius Wine Shop is a wine shop with complete facilities and stunning interior design, offering a unique experience of walking along the wine rack and feeling the flowing atmosphere that resembles the activity of pouring wine.
