EL Camino Restaurant in Spain Presents Underwater Life Concept
Zooco Estudio has designed the interior of an Asian restaurant that focuses on raw fish dishes and is known as El Camino restaurant. The restaurant is located on the beach of La Segunda in Sardinero, Santander, Spain. Due to the location's background, the character of the beauty of the underwater world is trying to be presented in the restaurant's interior design.

Upon entering the room, the bar counter and booking area take center stage because of its wave-like arc. In addition to shape, EL Camino's interior design features a brick, light brown, and white color palette that creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Meanwhile, white terrazzo floors with spots such as beach sand also adorn this restaurant. In material selection, Zooco Estudio refers to the Japanese aesthetic where timeless materials and a warm color palette are chosen as the materials that dominate the restaurant interior, such as wood and clay applied in several areas.
The Interior El Camino Restaurant
The wall element consists of two parts. The upper part is a semi-transparent cylindrical panel with reflective elements that represent the sparkle of waves in the sea when exposed to sunlight, while the bottom is clay arranged overlapping to form visual-like fish scales. The furniture used in this restaurant matches the color palette of the room. Some seats are made in a circle to add to the intimacy of diners while enjoying the meal.

Detail of the Wall
An oval table is connected with a glass opening facing directly to the kitchen. From this glass, it is an opportunity for chefs and kitchen crews to show their cooking skills. The connectivity between these two spaces shows the openness and professionalism the El Camino restaurant wants to maximize. This, of course, will add to the experience of visitors who come and will be exposed to their memories.

An arched shape is also applied to storage shelves with a semicircular wooden frame. It can be seen from the layout planning of this restaurant using an arch shape as the main shape that symbolizes dynamism. A cylindrical chandelier, like a jellyfish, also supports the visual impression of underwater life. A white LED strip is mounted around the ceiling following the waveform. With an interior design concept designed by Zooco Estudio, El Camino restaurant comes with an image of Sardinero's beauty.
