Bachmann Associés Renovates Belle Poque Hotel with Modern Concept
La Folie Douce Hotel Chamonix is a luxury hotel located in the ski resort of Chamonix, France. The hotel stands former Savoy Palace, a Belle Epoque building built in 1904 with an area of 18,000 square meters, 250 rooms, and 5 restaurants. With its heritage of luxury, Bachmann Associés renovated the Savoy Palace and was acquired by hotel group operators La Folie Douce and Hôtels Très Particuliers to become La Folie Douce Hôtel Chamonix.

"Reviving the old palace completely and rediscovering the classic hotel industry code became a place where we had a great time—exploiting volume, imagining the space of freedom and hospitality in the spirit of La Folie Douce. That's what appealed to us," Bachmann Associés explained.

The monumental hall is clad in raw materials, contrasting with the warmth of the wood combined with the velvet fabrics on the lounge chairs and the touch of antique ornate elements of the space. Interestingly, the hotel's atrium with wooden-glazed arched staircases looks in contrast to the walls and ceilings that are left exposed and equipped with contemporary chandeliers. This combination can create a mixed feel but has a high artistic value in the room.

On the first floor, there is a cocktail lounge called Le Jenssen. The curved windows allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding scenery. Aligning the shape of the curved window, the bar placed at the center point of the room becomes the main point in this room. Brass applied to the bar with the glossy ceiling surface is intended to create a magnificent and intimate address.

The walls and ceiling of the hotel are left exposed side by side with large windows that reflect their light so as to bring out the "what it is" texture. The texture without finishing presented on the interior of the hotel is combined with modern classic furniture and a touch of luxurious and charming classic elements.

The interior at La Folie Douce Hotel Chamonix is clad in raw materials that contrast with the warmth of wood, and blouse fabric. Equipped with classic space-decorating elements, luxury adds luxury to the interior of La Folie Douce Hotel Chamonix.
