Called Simple House with Extraordinary Shape by Moon Hoon
Located on Jeju Island with strong winds and changeable weather. For Koreans, this island is a recreational island with weather and vegetation that is like a tropical country.
Because it is located in a recreational environment, the bunker became the initial inspiration carried out by Moon Hoon as an architect. This house is named "Simple House" although the shape is not simple at all, it has a complicated form with horizontal pants like villa savoye that cuts the house in half. One piece of the piece floats and the other is submerged, creating a matching piece.
The low curved roof is simple, inspired by traditional Jeju houses. The shape is rather striking through the design that the first floor is made to stand vertically, then with the appearance of dimensional changes that bring the space to be stacked on top of each other.
Then, when the residents of the house go from the first floor to the second floor, they will be greeted with stairs whose walls also become a library as a form of good space utilization.
The result of these shape rotations provides many new visual experiences and spaces for residents and visitors to this house, with its shape that is not simple but provides comfort through the use of space programs arranged in such a way by the architect.
