In a press conference held at his studio on August 15, 2024, Eko said that he found this collaboration interesting and 'special' because he once felt 'dissatisfied' with a handle product used in his home that was easily damaged when used for a long time, so in this collaboration he put a lot of ideas into this product.
Eko Priharseno, The Designer of JAKKU
“Initially, I was inspired by the tipping nature of the dongrak, which has a mechanical system to lift from heavy to light, so it was developed into JAKKU”, said Eko Priharseno.
The design process of this JAKKU product was carried out during the pandemic by him, various explorations were carried out with various discussions between designers, principals, and product companies. The modern minimalist and timeless design gives an elegant impression to the product that was launched in 2023 in Osaka, Japan.

According to Swamitra Darmawan, director of Habitus Concept, Eko Priharseno's lever handles are different, balancing function and looks. His visionary approach with a deep understanding of the artware philosophy of Union Elmes' production makes him a perfect fit for this collaboration.
