The World Architecture Festival has several categories, one of which is 'Future Projects', in 2024, the only' future project' from Indonesian architects was shortlisted for the office category.

Let's get to know this project.

Akasha Office is an office building with a land area of approximately 1.4 hectares and two large existing warehouses. Located in the Pulo Gadung industrial area, which is known to be barren and arid, Akasha Office is expected to be a new oasis in the surrounding industrial buildings. The main idea of the project design is "central park as a bridge", Wahana Architects used an old warehouse that was renovated into a new office building and the other one retained its form and function.

The bridge in the middle between the two masses is not only an architectural element but also used to achieve human needs in a limited workspace. This creates a positive relationship of architecture that impacts future workers.

Wahana Architects also highlighted flexibility in the design of Akasha Office. The spaces are expected to adapt to the company's needs, which will continue to change and grow in the future. The practical solution provided through the design is a grid and module approach to address this challenge. The spaces inside are not rigidly dedicated to a specific function but can change according to user needs.

With the principles presented by Wahana Architects, the Akasha Office will be an unusual office space amidst the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area that provides comfort for workers so that the ability to increase business can mutually occur.
