Little Stories: Simple Store in White, Blue, Yellow, and Red

In 2017, Clap Studio designed a children's shoe store in Valencia, Spain, called "Little Stories." The main brief is to help develop a company's identity focused on children's products.

"The design is aimed at creating an experience for young children. Every detail in this design encourages imagination and play but, at the same time, highlights the product on display." Clap Studio said.

Clap Studio designed the store's interior with an open plan of 70 square meters with three large curved windows as a façade featuring a large-scale storefront-like interior. Almost the entire surface of the walls is painted white. Not without reason, Clap Studio chose this white color to be a background that can highlight the colors on the Little Stories product and focus on graphic elements that become the company's image.

To form the identity of a fun children's shoe store, Clap Studio pays attention to all the details that make children interested in seeing it. From light gray floors with lines that form symbols on cartoons, bright colors applied to furniture, to the selection of curved shapes applied to windows, mirrors, and cashier counters. In addition, the curved shape also inspired Clap Studio to design a removable and movable shoe display rack due to the wall-mounted magnetic plates.

Uniquely, the artificial lighting design on the interior of the Little Stories store wrap in a colorful tube. The entire blue, yellow, and red tube seemed to come out of the ceiling and illuminate the space below. The design innovation can focus customer attention on Little Stories products.

Overall, Clap Studio has managed to create constant games for the little ones and free up space for the products to be exhibited. In other words, Clap Studio was able to answer the initial brief to display the identical imagery of the children's shoe store "Little Stories."
