January 9, 2024

Creating a new public space in the village of Bolshoe Kuzemkino is the main goal of the Chekharda Bureau. The construction of this public space is an attempt to bring to life the village, which is famous for its classic buildings. In addition to this intention, the architect team invited residents to jointly build a public space entitled Eagles Land Playground.

In designing and building this collaborative project, Chekharda Bureau is guided by an issue: how to create an Eagles Land Playground that can become a place for the community to interact and display the local uniqueness of the village of Bolshoe Kuzemkino.

The project started with the Eagles Land Playground's visual design, inspired by the bird's nest in the Kurgalsky nature reserve. After that, the Chekharda Bureau and the villagers decided to use natural materials that were easy to find, such as tree trunks and ropes. This natural material aims to harmonize the natural beauty around the site, surrounded by pine trees.

Entering the construction stage, the Eagles Land Playground was built into three areas. First, the Sand glade, a playground for children. In this area, children can play with slides and play in the sand. Then, looking at other areas, the Chekharda Bureau and the villagers created a meadow with a game of climbing frames and eagle nests built using tree trunks. The last area is a tower connected by a rope bridge. This area is built using iron structures to ensure the safety of children while playing.

Due to its main purpose as a public space, the Chekharda Bureau arranged several chairs designed using wood and iron as their support. With these chairs, Eagles Land Playground is not only a playground but also a meeting point for all villagers.
