All-White Store in Shanghai Inspired by Mountain Arches

A Chinese designer, Dong Tiantian, from Studio Mountain Soil Interior Design has developed the design of clothing store W.0311 located in Changning, Shanghai. The uniqueness of this clothing store is displayed through a minimalist facade. The most prominent thing in this shop is the arch on the structure of the building inspired by the shape of the mountain.

Building structure inspired by the shape of the mountain

In addition to the uniqueness of the façade and the shape of the building, this 150-square-meters store has elements that highlight its characteristics. One of the most contrasting of the façade and interior is the window with a unique abstract arch shape, and there are square doors that strengthen its characteristics so that the building looks attractive with the right composition.

Entrance W.0311 with an identity made of stainless steel

The height of the surrounding building makes the interior of Shanghai W.0311 not get the natural light of the sun, so on the roof added skylights that serve to maximize the natural light of the sun entering the room. Lighting is the main priority in this building, so white is chosen as a staple color that's applied throughout the room so that the room looks bright, clean, and spacious, besides white color is a solution for buildings with minimal lighting.

Fitting room

No less interesting, the interior of this all-white building has a unique ceiling shape with ceiling games made curved in the fitting room that makes the atmosphere of the room look different from other spaces. In addition, a circular partition is placed as a space separator. White color is also applied to the furniture that's minimalist and has many arches that aim to harmonize the building. The selection of storage on the display for clothing is also made curved with stainless material to give the impression of elegance and luxury.
