As a response to the asymmetrical site, the house is divided into two building masses with different orientations where each building mass accommodates the living spaces with different functions. Those masses are stacked in two levels with the first level accommodating the kitchen, dining, and living area while the second level accommodates the bedrooms which are lined up in a sloping oriented building mass. The service area like bathrooms is lined up in the opposite building mass.

Stone stairs are stacked vertically amidst the two masses from the first level to the second level which acts as the vertical circulation from the ground to the upper floor. The unique outdoor stairs become a distinctive attraction of Residence 57 which also acts as an amphitheater where the inhabitants gather around and engage in conversation while enjoying the beautiful blue sky and the lush greeneries in the courtyard.

Aligned with the stone material used in the stairs, the concrete material graces the house walls with its gray color seamlessly harmonizing with the stairs. The wooden panels grace the floor, some parts of the walls, and the ceiling as a simple yet elegant decoration, creating a warm ambiance inside the house.
