This house was part of a renovation project that reflects a major transformation in Seoul’s urban structure in the 1930s when the modern era was born. It is designed by preserving its Korean traditional authenticity in the middle of the rise of the modern house era.

Keeping its existing u-letter shape layout, this house gives a mesmerizing view of the green garden at the center of the house. This green garden can be seen from every turn of the house. The kitchen and dining areas are located in the center of the house and become the activities hub that creates an interactive room connected with other rooms. The private spaces such as bedrooms are arranged strategically in the right side wing and the left side wing to provide fully private and calm spaces for rest.
